Mark is a triple graduate from Baylor University, having received his Bachelor of Arts (2006) and Master of Arts (2009) in History prior to earning his Juris Doctorate in May 2016.

In between his MA and JD, Mark earned a Masters of Science in Information Studies (2011) from the University of Texas at Austin. Mark then spent two years as a manuscript archivist at Dolph Briscoe Center for American History at UT Austin before making the decision to pursue a career in law.

Attracted to the rigorous Practice Court program at Baylor Law, Mark developed his advocacy skills by competing at five different moot court and mock trial competitions, including the National Civil Trial Competition. In March 2016, Mark won Best Advocate at the Houston Regional of the American Association for Justice’s Student Trial Advocacy Competition.

Mark joined Engvall & York in August 2016. He works primarily on severe injury cases.

A native of Waco, Mark authored William Cameron Park: A Centennial History (Baylor Press 2010). When he is not practicing law, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife Liza and going to Baylor athletic events.
